Digitizing every single book is a very interesting concept. Just imagining how long it would take to digitize all the books ever made is really amazing. I think that having every single book online would be much easier for me to locate key ideas in the book. I also wouldn’t need to go down to the library and waste about 20 minutes just getting the book when i can take 5 minutes to find the book online and get all the necessary information I needed from the book in the first place. Of course, doing this would hurt our privacy. If you go to a library, your privacy is ensured. Online, however, it is a different story. Personally I think it is a great idea to have books online for easy access, but at the same time, I feel a bit uncomfortable with it as well.

ReplyDeleteI agree that it would be easier having all the books but it would be alot of problems for everyone else.
ReplyDeleteI agree that accessing the library would become easier - how should brick-mortar library's respond to the needs of their patrons - it provides an opportunity.
